This gem by Brigada Creativa was hiding out in my Etsy favorites. I like that it’s not specific to a year, so you can start and end it whenever you want.
See also the Love Life calendar.
Clever design.

I’m trying really hard not to buy any more 2011 calendars for myself, but Valerie Jar of the City Ablaze shop is making it VERY difficult.
As you can see in the last photo, there are a number of different color combinations to choose from. I’m pretty crazy about the mint calendar on ivory.
Her illustrations remind me of Cheekeyes, the sweet wooden animals I featured on Charlotte’s Fancy last week.
$25 in her shop.

More of my calendar favorites:
Gorgeous “Totem Animals at Play” letterpress calendar by Tara Hogan of Ink + Wit. $44, limited edition of 120.
Another calendar that I’m crazy about. The Happy Days / Loopi calendar by Pikku. $48
I love both the colors and the design of this Tea Towel calendar by Michelle Bencsko of Cicada Studio. $42
A beautifully illustrated calendar by Leah Duncan. $28
ilee is one of my favorite letterpress shops. The colors she uses in her designs are so saturated and pretty, and this desk calendar is no exception. $22
I’m still hoping to see calendars from a few others, but I am sure this is not my last calendar round-up for the year.
Hope you have a great weekend – I’ve got all kinds of paper goods I want to show you next week. Also, I’m going to revisit the grab bags next week. Stay tuned.
The great thing about printable calendars is that you can print as many as you want, and they make terrific gifts.
And the great thing about perpetual calendars, of course, is that they are perpetual. I will admit that I’m too fickle to be a perpetual calendar kind of person (though I was tempted by a Muji one, once), but still, there are some really fantastic ones out there.
So, here are some printable and perpetual options you might like:
Printable calendars with matching tags by Little Paper Dog. I love the design of this cover and the size of this calendar too. This would make an excellent, inexpensive and useful gift. More styles in her shop. $7
I really like the illustrations and colors of this 2011 calendar by Yael Fran. $9
This printable calendar by Mufn Inc is double sided! See her shop for all 12 pretty patterns – this October pattern is my favorite. $15
A really cool perpetual calendar by Dependable Letterpress. Beautifully designed. $9.50 (Seems like a steal to me…)
I love these little desktop perpetual calendars (in red, tan, yellow, or blue) by Orange Beautiful. $25
And I had to include this tag perpetual calendar by Erin Zam because it’s really unique and pretty. Unfortunately, it does not come with that very cool holder! $28
The printable calendars above (particularly the ones by Yael Fran and Mufn Inc) remind me that a lot of calendars are designed so that you can cut off the calendar part after the year is over and frame the artwork if you like. I also keep my old calendars and use a big scallop punch to make gift tags out of them.
Have you seen any must buy calendars this week yet? I’m still trying to decide which desk calendar I want.
Had enough yet of Calendar Week? No? Good! I’ve got more calendars to share!
The colorful and fun calendar by Emily Dumas of Flowers in May – just like her fantastic prints. $15
Nature lovers will like Flora and Fauna‘s pretty 2011 letterpress calendar. $20
“Counting in the Kitchen” calendar that comes in French too! By the talented Bess Callard of English Muffin Shop. $28
A super sweet calendar by Sarah Jane Studios. This would look especially nice in a little girl’s room. $24
And you can always count on Lynn of Satsuma Press for gorgeous letterpress paper goods, and her calendar is no exception. $40
Tomorrow: printable and perpetual calendars
Five more terrific 2011 calendars to choose from:
Susy Jack‘s 2011 wall calendar features her signature bold, colorful graphics. $34
A whole year’s worth of Irene Suchocki‘s dreamy photography? Sounds heavenly to me. $23
A unique black and white graphic calendar by Pawling. $25
A cheerful, “bright and modern” calendar by Inkspot Workshop. $22
And Adele over at modernemotive designed this desk calendar with 12 pretty patterns. You’ll have a hard time choosing your favorite month. $20
Five more tomorrow!
Are you a big calendar geek like I am? (I’m guessing that was a yes.) All this week I’m featuring 2011 calendars – wall calendars, desk calendars, and some perpetual calendars too. First, see the four that I featured already on Charlotte’s Fancy, then have fun looking at today’s picks.
SeeSaw Designs‘ 2011 letterpress calendar features metallic inks and is perforated so that you can frame the art or send the pages as postcards. I already mentioned this one over at Charlotte’s Fancy, but before I actually bought it. I just received it the other day, and it is incredibly beautiful. If you are buying only one calendar this year, I recommend this one. $32
Pistachio Press‘ Mid Century Modern letterpress wall calendar is colorful, cheerful and cool. It would brighten up any room.$35
This “Town” calendar by the Sketched Book is huge. It’s also a PDF. So, you pay for the file and then you take it to your local printer and have them print it out (for an additional cost). I’ve had this calendar in my Etsy favorites for more than a year now because I love it and didn’t want to lose track of it. $27
“A Year in Caps” calendar for typography fans printed on wood veneer by Heather Lins. I love the colors of this calendar. $32
Kayanna Nelson of june craft created this sweet “Folky” calendar. It is also available in orange and red. $20
It’s almost impossible to choose already, isn’t it? But, there’s more! Stay tuned for tomorrow’s picks – you might find one you like even better.
